Speaking of which, why is it still there?

It should be gone.

Based on last seasons form..finishing position...inexperienced manager ..little or no knowledge of new formation ...no high profile signings (could make an argument for signing championship player of the league)..., I could go on..ye I can see why someone would make a prediction of bottomish...I don’t agree though

This^

On Sunday, The Observer did their usual pre-season survey of a 'fan' from each Premier club, asking for their predictions, including the 3 relegation candidates. With only two exceptions, everyone predicted us to be relegated.

One of those exceptions, of course, was our 'fan', Steph Fincham, who predicted that we would finish 10th.

On the Border
, No proven premiership players brought in the transfer window (risk),.

I'd rather than have Premier League players myself.

Usual pundits who only follow the top 6 teams, and then look to select the teams that finished towards the bottom of the PL and promoted teams (obviously excluding any big clubs) to be relegation candidates.

A lot of the media still think it was harsh and maybe wrong that we sacked Chris Hughton, and maybe hoping we live to regret it.

Not sure it's the BBC as a whole, more Phil McNulty, who seems to have caught a bit of Garthitis, based on this waffle: "Leandro Trossard from Genk is part of the new look while heavy responsibility will fall on the shoulders of new central defender Adam Webster, signed from Bristol City in a club record £20m deal - especially if Lewis Dunk leaves.' 'Heavy responsibility'? Not sure about that. *IF* Dunk leaves? Basing a prediction on something that now appears unlikely...

Another reason why I don't think these predictors are worth the attention they get.

Just ignore any predictions as the reality is there are 5-7 sides that are all candidates for the drop every season and we will be one of them for some time to come.

We are one of the less fashionable and established clubs who narrowly avoided relegation last season so will be finding ourselves facing this nonsense for a bit yet

Of the teams that were in the PL last season, we were the worst. People will probably add in Norwich and Sheffield Utd, but they'll give Villa a pass (despite them being the lowest ranked team last season) because of the name and how much money they appear to be throwing at it.

Simples.
