I haven't played footy manager games for years, the last time I did it was far too realistic for my liking. I started off trying to manage the Albion, nobody was prepared to sign for me even from the lowliest non-league teams, so in the end I just gave up. I then tried to be manager of Hearts, the next best option, did really well for a couple of seasons and managed to split the Old Firm in the league...then all my good players headed west to Glasgow due to minimum fee release clauses.

Is there a way to speed up the guff between games with this version? This slowness of the game is what killed my interest in FM2006

I've also been finding FM2007 bloody difficult!! Hummm it seems DK steps down in every game but i got some idiot that didnt like me and invested sod all in the club!!
Finished 21st in the table and got the sack, despite an impressive 11 points from my last 5 games. The only player that ever caught the eye of other managers was Frutos.....both Leicester and Ipswich wanted him but werent even prepared to pay £100k for him. Bloody northeners!

Just started a new game as the Albion, signed Andy Whing, Phil Jevons, Lee Moleneux (young left back at Wolves), Dean Sturridge (young striker at Man City) and Sam Williams. We're the firm favourites to go up according to the TotalBet thing, and I've just got Ray Wilkins in as my assistant.

Rather disappointing in my first game against Donny, Sam Williams gets injured, I concede a penalty and Henderson gets sent off, Kuipers is out injured so John Sullivan comes on and I'm losing 1-0 until the 4th minute of injury time when Jakey hits a screamer from 30 yards out to make it 1-1.

Back to the game I go.
