WTF do you mean "not championship standard", we're 6th in the league

I could understand this if we were 6th from bottom but we're not. I could also understand if people were saying we're not PL standard.

Some people need to get a bit of perspective.

Yeh and we have done well with what we have got but if we are to make the next step a large chunk of our squad needs to be replaced

Saying we are 6th is slightly dishonest - it's solely timing as we are guaranteed to be 7th tomorrow whatever the Boro v Cardiff result. Having said that, I'm far from a pessimist/moaner, and think it is far from over. Reading took 84 minutes to score against 10 Leeds men earlier this afternoon, and I really don't fear anyone at the Amex.

We can DEFINITELY still do this!

We have the second worst stat for attempts at goal, With only Doncaster having fewer. This needs to change for next season. I know i have slated CMS before but he needs to go, for his sake aswell as ours. We have over achieved this season when you look at our squad but a few tweaks here and there and we could do it next season. Jordan Rhodes is the man we need imo......... And Micheal owen of course

It'll be hard but its still doable, I said this earlier in the season when you went through a bad patch and I'll say it again, its only 3 years or even less ago that you were in League One getting beaten by Tranmere Rovers and the ball spent 90 per cent of the time in the air, it was shite, now look where Brighton are, top half of the Championship playing easy on the eye football and still in with a shout of promotion. Perspective is needed and the worst thing Brighton fans as a whole could ever do is start getting on Poyets back, hes been a massive part of your success in the last couple of years

I'd say 2 or 3 new faces in the starting XI, maybe 1 or 2 to the squad. That is neither a large chunk nor is it an overhaul. I think you need to have a lie down.

No fat lady singing yet. A lot of hard work - but if we can't get results against top six teams (which is what we need now) then why bother being in the play offs anyway? We have to start beating those teams a little earlier than planned and I think we can and will do that

i have never heard so much bollocks in my life, all you lot moaning that we lost today and thats it is all over for the play offs just take a look at back at where we were 15 years ago,no actually 10 years ago, NO actually 5 years ago and then look at where we are now.We have an amazing new stadium which for me after withdean and priestfield still feels like a dream, we have an amazing owner who loves the club just as much as all us fans, we have a brilliant young manager who is only going to get better the more expierience he gets, and a team that is playing the way football should be played. Now i will be the first to admit that maybe some of the players might not be top 6 championship or premier league players but some of them are and some will be with another season or two and im sure Gus will add quality for next season, So lets all just have a think about all that and then whatever else happens this season we can have huge smiles on our faces look forward to next season whatever league we are in just be so happy and proud to be Brighton and Hove Albion supporters.

I know that there is still points to play for but looking at our remaining fixture's i think it is all over. We need a squad overhaul. We have too many players who are clearly not up to Championship level

We need to win our three home matches and get a draw at West Ham . And then we have a sporting chance at the last away game of the season, but might still not make it.

Then we still have to get past West Ham in the play-offs.

Next season the contenders will be:

Leicester, Cardiff, Blackpool, Middlesbrough, Watford, Brighton, Birmingham.

The pretenders will be:

Forest, Leeds, Wolves, QPR.

If we can keep Vicente, we might be better placed than our opponents with a younger squad.

I disagree. Today was a must win. We've had a great season but the temptation of the playoffs is cruel as we are probably not good enough to be a top 6 team. Almost being good enough is a bitter pill to swallow but we should take a step back and praise a season that has been by anyone's standard a massive success.

The season is over for us now, I don't see us making the cut. Still it's been a great season and I for one am proud of the teams valiant effort.
