Is it ever acceptable to date a Palarse fan?

In these modern times in which we live it is of course acceptable to go out with someone of a different race, creed or religion or even someone of the same sex.

However, a 'youngish' lady of my acquaintance (no names, no pack-drill) who is a ST holder at Withdean and regularly attends away matches is now dating a Palarse fan from Crawley is this socially acceptable?!
