Yes.

We're going to wait until mid-July before appointing a manager, and when we do it will be a former Crystal Palace-player who last coached a club team 15 years ago. Of course.

is the OP a club MOLE trying for us to fear the arrival of Gareth and then erupt into joy once we hear it's actually GPott ?

The games they play.

I like Southgate, and overall I think he's done a great job with England.

But does he tick any of the boxes that we are looking for in a new Coach whatsoever?
Based on what?

He certainly has the track record for having many diamonds in his hand and being unable to win a single trick.

Utterly useless manager, hasn't built a defence or a creative midfield in three competitions now.

I would rather have Sammy back!

Couldn't believe that this wasn't a @crodonilson poll.

Gareth Southgate?
Scott Parker?
Nathan Jones?
Nigel Adkins?
Russell Grant?
Harry Redknapp's dog?
The ghost of Brian Clough?
Pace out of Hale & Pace?
A Belisha Beacon with the word 'Coach' written on it?
Graham Potter back?

Absolutely not. The headline for England for more than I can remember, and certainly during Southgate's time, has been 'with these players we should be doing better (and winning things)'. What does that tell you about the manager/coaching? Dont think I need to really say anything more.
