Major was a good man. But, could you imagine him being elected leader of that party today 😲
Met him at a Lord's Taverners Lunch at Chichester, as you say a top man, and of his time, would his integrity survive the political arena of today?

He's all part of the Westminster 'sliding doors' scenario.

If, which is half of life, Kinnock hadn't made a pillock of himself at the Sheffield Rally and Labour had won in 1992, would we have ever heard of Mr Blair?

100% to all of it.

Major, Hague are exactly the kind of Conservatives they need to rediscover. The current cabal are even less appealing than Sunak.
