He should definetly still be on the bench, he could be a good attacking option coming from the bench, better than Gary Hart and a lot better than Carole.

My mum is better than Carole.
Still don't think Cox is good enough if we're SERIOUS about pushing for promotion next season. I'd have him in the squad for the time being, but his days are clearly numbered under Gus.

Agreed, we need serious talent if we are going to go up!

Cox isn't good enough I'm afraid..in patches he can look like a world beater but if we are serious about our ambitions we needs consistent players.

time for him to move on, it could be the making of him or maybe not, i cant help looking at jake robinson at shrewsbury thought he might do well there but apart from the usual good start isnt really shining. thats a real shame and i hope things improve for him and anyone who has played for the albion.

I Think the clue is in his song......'we have tiny cox'

Far to small to compete at this level..no where near strong enough..only my thoughts

Best tell Wenger to ditch Vela, and Walcott, and Arshavin, etc..

If he's good enough, hes's big enough. Whether he IS good enough, is the question.

Personally I think he still has plenty to offer the Albion, for the rest of this season at the very least.

When he has had a chance in the last few weeks [Villa, etc] he's looked one of our most inventive players.

The reason Hart gets on and Cox doesn't is simple!

Hart comes on as a Winger who can tackle. LuaLua and Cox can't tackle for shit so when we are holding onto a lead it's a good idea to stick OGH on!

How does that work then, if Cox is not even ON the bench?

Do we pick the subs knowing that we'll be 'holding onto a lead', rather than trying to create something? If the latter were the case, Cox would be your best option.

Cox doesn't have a future, as said in another thread, best off joining his mate Jake or Mr Adams....

too lightweight, can't beat his man, can't put a good cross in, exactly what is he good at? Oh yea, swanning around Brighton and Haywards Heath, wonder who he is dragging down with him now Dickinson has gone ?

He's alright.
But he's not in the same class as LuaLua or Bennett. THATS the calibre of players we need here now.

We have Hart on the bench because he can fill a number of positions at a very average level. That works. Cox could only really come on for an injured wideman. He's not the sort with the speed and power to really change a game. I like him, Coxy, but his feebleness and limitations seem difficult to overcome. Yes, he is inventive, but not in the same class as Bandagehead Dicker, who i love.
Maybe without Dicker in the squad, then Cox becomes more necessary.

Abort, retry, fail
I think Cox could be a decent player for us at this level and the level above, but there do seem to be lingering rumours that he is a fan of enjoying himself on various exploits during the long or short evenings.

It didn't surprise me that Dickinson was loaned out. I think Gus will not tolerate those that take the piss out of his authority. I.e. That night in Brighton.

Like many others I like Cox, but I'm not convinced he has enough to his all round game to feature in Poyet's plans.

A definate possibility for the last three games, against 3 of the top 4 teams in the division.

I think he has had his chance and blown it. Too inconsistant to be a regular starter. Yes he does well when he comes on as a sub, but we need people to be competing for a starting spot, not as a supersub!
