You've obviously never been to the Bar Zamora, just off the Ramblas.

I've never forgiven Bobby for that, strolled in casual as you like only to realise all was not as it should've been :D

Nah, Brighton's great, Barcelona's the most shite city I've ever been to - no comparison.

I can see where you're coming from. West St is Las Ramblas, St Peters Church is our Sagrada Da Familia & obviously Withdean is the Nou Camp. The Queens Rd kebab shops remind me of all those delightful little Tapas Bars & our Marinas are identical. Then of course there's the views of the city. For Brighton you have the view from the racecourse & Barcelona has the vista from the Olympic site.

I love them both but I think Barcelona might just have the edge for tourists. :lolol:

Everyone who supports the local football team in Brighton does not keep going on about some inter country war that took place over 50 years ago like they do in Barca!

ok- similarities i can find:

- by the sea

- biggest city in the area

- bit sleazey

- easy to get drugs

- easy to get prossies

- laid back locals

- full of foreigners

- bit gay

- has a marina

- go into the city centre and a pint will set you back a bit

- decent clubs if you know where to go

- street drinking is banned but everyone does it anyway

- low quality beaches (barcelonas one is horrible and sandy...the main one that is)

Also lots of good food, and personally I thought the beach in Barcelona was quite nice the last time I was there.
