I come from the land of the South Saxons and I support the Albion. The English come from East Anglia and are not in my tribe.

All the Welsh are foreigners.

Eh?

Reality is no such thing as pure English or Saxon. We are probably one of the biggest bunch of ethnic mongrels on the planet. Most of us have a bit of English, bit of Celt, chuck in something European, often a touch of Jew and then you have the English race.

english are the best in Britain at EVERYTHING.

leek eating?
male voice choirs?
fire raising?
bomb making?
dodgy accents?

The English make bridges that wobble. Would a Scotsman do that?

As sure as in every woman there lurks a bit of lesbien, its also a FACT that every scotsman, irishman and welshman would really prefer to be english. They'll never admit it - their pride would never allow them to. Some will even react violently to the suggestion. But deep down its secretly what they want.

They know it. We know it. Its time we all accepted this and moved on.

Both my middle daughters are Scottish (and live in Argyll) and when I speak to them on the phone I often have great difficulty understanding them!!!

Mum is Irish, dad is English, both have Scottish ancestry but now live in Wales. I always considered myself British, nothing more or less and am proud to declare myself as coming from Sussex (though I wasn't actually born there). I never thought of myself as being English, that was until I lived in Scotland where I was reminded of the fact, in often less than polite terms, on an almost daily basis.
