You've got a point. He's employed Brailsford who was the marginal gains chap that reckoned the Sky cycling team got better through taking their mattresses from home on a cycling trip and absolutely nothing to do with other means of performance enhancements. I've marked him down as a chancer that has got lucky.

Ineos seem to run football like he would a Chemical factory and I think it's massively missed the mark. Sacking Doris the tea lady (250 jobs cut) when you are pissing x hundred K a week on the likes of Rashford is pissing in the wind and creating disharmony in the process. It won't get better immediately that's for sure.

The but is that they won't be around forever if they fail and Utd will always generate more revenue that we will. At some point, natural order will be resumed. In the meantime, I'm thoroughly enjoying laughing at all the wankers who support and pontificate about them.
Sir Jim, to me at least, comes across as one of those guys who is super successful at something, and feels this validates everything else he says or does even in fields and areas where he as no experience.

And you're right, it is bloody funny.

It annoys me that the focus today is on how bad MU are and not giving credit to us for a great performance. Yes, their keeper messed up on one goal but we scored 3 , with 1 disallowed….we deserved the win
The Guardian refered to us a Brilliant Brighton! That'll do for me!

He's used to getting his own way, internally and in the marketplace.

The good thing about football is the competition, unpredictably and vagaries. The spending of Everton/Manure/Spurs has currently delivered bottom half.

In my humble opinion, the poll's missing the option of

No because they're crap and we should be beating them, but it's still incredibly funny when we do.

look at the continuing media fall out, this will remain all week.

It just blows more smoke up our backside

You dont get this when you beat anyone else.

It's marvelous and it will be a lovely week

I am not so sure. I am willing to be corrected but does this Ineos chap actually have any meaingful success with the sports side of his business? I cannot be arsed to look into this, but I believe he took over the hugely successful Sky cycling team but I have not heard of Ineos winning anything, and his three football clubs have not been overly successful.
Yeah, the (glorious) thought that they may not get back to their previous level has crossed my mind as well. After all they never recovered from Mat Busby's retirement. Managers came and went for about 15 years before SAF turned up - and even he struggled at first. Now they're in a similar position to the early 70s where every new incumbent is immediately expected to recapture former glories.

I do think they will come good eventually, but it isn't a given and I think it will take a change of ownership. But on the other hand they could be the new Everton.

Having suffered years of Fergie smugly winning everything and their hordes of plastic fans (who have never been near OT) constantly prattling on about how good they are, beating them will never not feel fantastic, even if City are the only other team in PL history to win 3 on the trot at the Theatre of Tourists.
