I will probably use it on the way home. Last week it was pretty much hassle free, although the route is tortuous if you are going all the way to Shoreham

Anybody catch the ‘S’ bus today to the game, if so what happened to it?

The 13:10 did not turn up in Patcham, neither did the 13:30 or the 13:50, and if the 14:05 turned up , then it was running late and would have probably been heaving anyway if it did eventually turn up, we (and the others waiting) had to make alternative plans and get to the bottom of Coldean lane and then walk to the ground.

Seems like the S bus coming this way is not to be relied upon, its not the first time this alternate service has failed to appear.

I heard that as soon as bus gets full it just goes straight to the stadium, so misses out the rest of the route, they should maybe consider a double decker bus on this route (they are all single decker's) but would have to change the route slightly as a double decker wouldn't get under the bridge by Withdean.

Caught the 1310 S from the Grenadier, it was standing only then and full at Goldstone Crescent so he went up over the bypass and straight to Falmer

Double deckers used to get under the bridge at Withers in the old days of football specials to the Goldstone.

Thanks Ernest, does not help all the supporters waiting at stops on route. It may help if these ‘football special’ buses are going to abort the rest of their routes, then they should radio in to control, so that the drivers of the normal route buses can pass on messages to the waiting supporters that there ‘football special’ is not going to arrive.

Unless the club/bus companies come up with a solution then it looks like we will have to go back to the park a ride.

Email, the club/bus company they said that they will review all the special buses so if they see that there is a demand maybe they will increace the services.

Will probably take this on tuesday night and get on at Woodruff Avenue having endured the hellish queues to get on the train after the game today. I think it's been asked already but do you need travel vouchers or can you pay cash, or even simply show your ST??

Was full at Woodruff today, left people behind there. Showed my voucher but the driver couldn't care less about it

Still in Brighton
Same as last game, waited and waited for the S at woodruff avenue stop for 1.36 but it never turned up. So this service cannot be relied upon! At the moment anyway. A big thank you to the guys from the 1901 club who took pity on us and picked us up. Thankfully the return on the S is highly recommended, an easy trip out of the Amex.
Will try the train next week. Noone
interested in my vouchers so seems to be a waste of 30 quid!

Waited in carden avenue from 12.50 until 13.45 no buses showed up , ended up catching a lift with some blackpool supporters to coldean lane. Another s route has to be introduced starting at withdean stadium and picking up patcham/westdean supporters. I fear the same will happen again this tuesday.
