I'm in the process of setting up a telly in the garden (wheel in and out of garage on a stand) . I figure that

1. It's as close as I can get to a pub and can invite me mates round
2. The TV in the lounge will remain for fortnite and Netflix (I'll run a long hdmi cable from the sky box)
3. It gives me somewhere to escape to.

All I need is decent weather.......

And yet we haven't been in the relegation zone for 105 PL games, played under normal PL rules - something we should in fact be proud of.

Whilst I am not over enthused by the charge to get football restarted in the current situation, I have a 100% belief we will do ok after we do restart, and am not particularly worried by it.

Fantastic to see your optimism. I can see your version of the future panning out, with two early wins giving a huge boost to confidence. But my wily cynicism can also see confidence ebbing away with some further L's and D's.

I'm not too worried about dealing with my wife as I think I'll be able to watch most of the games on the telly but if not I'll watch them on a large computer screen.

What does concern me though is my mental health.
I've been fine in lockdown and have been able to relax with less going on and the opportunity to go on regular countryside walks.
But with the season about to restart I'm find myself worrying more about Brighton's survival than is healthy. A couple of decent results will ease my fears, but unfortunately I'm expecting us to be in the bottom three within 10 days of the restart.
I often think that it would be so much nicer not to be a keen supporter of particular teams (Sussex CCC, England cricket, Bognor, Brighton) and then there would be less heartache.
I've somehow got to a point where I dwell on the lows longer than the highs.

This resonates very well with me and as such I really am not looking forward to it all restarting. I've been much happier with no football and am often incredibly jealous of how people's relationship with football (or other sports) can be healthy. I'm not sure where I went from being a fan to it becoming a far too large part of my life/thinking but i'm hoping this period can change how I view BHAFC. I'm worried that when it all starts back up again i'll go back to my old ways of my happiness being far too largely impacted by something I can't control. I should note I have been diagnosed with OCD which no doubt contributes to what you referenced with regards to dwelling on the lows for too long; for me its not having the ability to 'move on'.
