Early nineties used to get the cassette in and play them all the way to Swansea for the overnight ferry to Cork. The do it again on the way to Dingle(fishin' n' drinkin' guinness)

Love that!, thanks for posting.

The Bodhran in particular is a lovely instrument and I like the interplay with it and step dancing. It somehow reminds me of the way the voice mimics the tabla in some Indian & Pakistani music.

Surely we have to have some Sharon Shannon on this thread!?

Can I just say that I am stunned and impressed by the deep musical knowledge of NSC members. There are some fantastic recommendations on here, some I had forgotten and some I'd never heard before. I salute you all...

Glad you’ve enjoyed it - where does the interest in Albion/NSC stem from - Aaron Connolly fan??

This girl is a newish Irish country singer you may know of

Yes unfortunately, think I sold them when I wanted a car.
Mostly singles but I didn’t have a massive collection, did have some decent coloured vinyl though.

I’ve still got the lot, back to my first single Bohemian Rhapsody. All in great nick, quite a few coloured vinyls.
