4 points from world champions Germany from 2 games in the group.

Ireland, with not very well known players that would not get in the England side.

If this was England, instead of their usual easy group, we would all be ecstatic.

Shane Long would be a regular in the England side.

He can score goals from open play AND against top class international teams.

England b team being Chris hughton?

I'm going to the last game in Warsaw in the away end. Will be a quality night, rugby before hand too.

Who are these England B players of whom you speak? The days of plastic paddies like Andy Townsend and the like, are mostly a thing of the past.

Well there are at least 5 English born players in the squad but you are right not as bad as it used to be. Well done to Northern Ireland forgot to mention them.

Great result but still very tough for Ireland to qualify though.

Germany's last game is home to Georgia, so extremely unlikely to lose that, and Ireland are away in Poland. With Poland having a far better GD, Ireland have to win it to qualify.

Or draw 2-2

Great result for the England B team

Oh blimey not this boring old guff again...you either qualify to play for a country or you don't, and the criteria in football is much stricter than in rugby or cricket where you get surnames such as Vunipola, Joyce, and Pieterson cropping up in the England squads
