They may not be a threat to the west but they are a real threat to Israel currently by supporting their oppenents and when possible by direct action themselves according to the the words of Mahmoud Ahmedinejad. Remember Israel have nukes and will not hestitate to use them if they feel threatened and if that happens then the middle east goes bang followed closely by the rest of the planet!

Much as I dont Want Iran to get them, it irritates the f*** out of me when you have the Americans wagging fingers about non proliferation without so much as a word about Israel, I'd blame it on the jewish lobby over there if I hadnt been repeatedly told it's non existent.

Regime change can't come soon enough if their current musical output is anything to go by. I think their biggest band is a power metal outfit called Angband (named after some Lord of the Rings guff). They're cliche-tastic. No, actually they're just naff.

I saw father and sons outfit -Trio Chemirani - at WOMAD a good few years ago and they were mesmerizingly good. They blend the traditional with a very open minded outlook, hence the use of the gatam and Indian rhythms here alongside their own Zarbs.

Its what they shouldnt be doing in my book, which is providing military hardware,technology , and funding , allowing Israel to pursue an aggressively expansionist policy regarding the occupied territories, Israel is not going to go away, however a fairer solution needs to be reached, not one where Israel has bullied it's way to a solution with the backing of the US.

Bullied its way? I'm sure Israel would be happy with the land they had if the surrounding countries weren't determined to remove Israel from the map forever. The 6 day war wouldn't have happened if Arabic countries hadn't lined up ready to destroy Israel. It's the openly preached mission statement for many Arabic countries to destroy Israel, what are they supposed to do, sit back and wait for it?
