Yay! Another conspiracy theory thread that starts with a Youtube video (the natural home of the cut and paste conspiracy theorist).
btw - Zeitgeist is NOT a good film either in terms of artistic merit or as a factual documentary. It's been debunked by so many well respected people that it is now a case study in all that's wrong with conspiracy theories and those who subscribe to them.

A very valid video - not sure that he's going to win on a "support our troops" campaign without further polices. Also worried about the message that flashed up "Stop foreign aid" - that would be absolutely the wrong thing to do. Overall though, the message of "don't go and invade other countries and we'll be safer" must surely be a good one.
PNFE is right. And why ruin an interesting thread with conspiracy bollocks ? The whole point of the video was about what happens when you try to interfere in other countries - no conspiracy.
You clearly haven't watched the film so how can you say he is right?
and anyway, what the hell are you on about? Ron Paul claims some of these theorys to be true. He dosen't believe 9/11 was caused by Bin Landin.

And straight away you get aggressive and make assertions that you have no way of proving. And you are completely wrong about Ron Paul's 9/11 beliefs also. He believes wholeheartedly that Bin Laden caused 9/11. His beef was that the government used the 9/11 enquiries as justification for war and also to cover up government ineptitude in preventing the disaster.

EDIT - my last post here as we now have gone off track but I felt it important to nip Falmer's posts firmly in the bud.
Very simplistic to just say bring the boys back home. I have no knowledge of exactly what the CIA get up to but have not doubt that covert operations contribute to most of the anti-American feeling around the globe but with regard to the middle east, I suspect most of the problem stems from the fact that the USA has it's proverbial head up the proverbial arse that is Israel. If there was even a hint of impartiality in their dealings with the middle east that would help but they veto every single UN censure of Israel. It's easy to say that US should mind it's own business but that didn't prevent two world wars which they eventually get drawn into. Whether you like it or not, we are a global village. If you saw your neighbour beating the shit out his wife and kids, do you just draw the curtain and ignore it? Unfortunately, self interest factors take precedent, eg the supply of oil, otherwise we would do more with the likes of Mugabe. Pulling the troops out and leaving a mess will probably do more harm than good but hey, there's a US election so good sound bites make good headlines.
How can I even bother to listen to you when you make these childish remarks before your paragraph of opinion? The evidence isn't there Pot noodles, no you can't go claiming i'm being aggresive, this wont back up your debate.
Wrong - Ron Paul says that American foreign policy led to 9/11 NOT that Bin Laden wasn't directly responsible.
Strange - in "your" thread you got all arsey about people diverting from your original topic and now you think it's OK for you to do. I so love how arrogant you are for an 18 year old - you need a spell on the front line !

That was why I made the point about him being aggressive. He's incapable of having a debate without getting really arsey. Fair enough, if that's your way but don't then bleat on about bullying later on.
I'm so so sorry Westdene. I'm deeply ashamed at my behaviour in bullying you and I hope the things I've said to you on this thead haven't hurt you. Soon you will understand this horrible episode in your life will only make you stronger and help you to combat these bullys (like myself) in the future. Not ONCE does that video suggest Ron Paul doesn't believe 9/11 was carried out by Bin Laden or any of his organisations. In fact in it he only discusses Iraq. If you're going to debate at least use data and information LINKED to the topic rather than just random videos. D- for your work little boy and a detention for being such a plum !
