In reality didn't deserve 2-0. The second goal should never have gone in with any sort of keeper.

The club have messed up by being greedy, and instead of reinvesting a bit more of that Ulloa money in QUALITY, we ended up with CHRIS O'GRADY. But its OK because he got some goals for relegated Barnsley. :ffsparr:

This. And has Baldock scored yet?

Really need to properly replace Leo with another 1 goal every 2 games striker, even if it's only a temporary 93 day loan.

How we have only spent Buckley's money we were already ffp before we sold ulloa and Buckley so yer there is 12 million sitting there and if not 12 at least more for is to go and buy someone decent

FFP compliant doesn't mean breaking even.

Ours for the taking and then Sami made subs way too late. He's to blame here, such a shame.

Oh well, let's prepare for Saturday :)

We have no target man that's the problem we have 12 million sitting in the pot still and we bought Chris o'grady who can't get a look in shocking

We have £12m sitting in the pot? Which pot is that?

You must realise that an £8m transfer doesn't necessarily mean there is £8m available to spend. Apart from our annual losses, Leicester may not be paying in one fell swoop. We might not want to spend all of that money.

Its worrying that of our 3 main strikers, one appears to have been a stopgap panic buy and can't even make the bench and the other 2 are firing blanks and not looking like scoring. We can play all the attacking footy we like but without a single effective striker we are screwed I'm afraid.

Accidental assist - see shocking pressing and marking and a lack of pressure on the ball.
Wonder volley - see keeper bad positioning/poor reactions, let alone getting done by a long ball over the top.

Yeah, potato/potato.

They took their chances, gifted or not, and the chances we had were handled by a keeper playing a blinder.

The BBC text commentary says it all about the second goal:

"Goal! Ipswich Town 2, Brighton and Hove Albion 0. Daryl Murphy (Ipswich Town) left footed shot from a difficult angle and long range on the left to the bottom right corner."

That is restrained BBC talk for "the keeper really should have saved that".

I watched the second half on the stream and I have to say we were unlucky overall. Holla and Lua Lua both should have scored before we went 1 down. Agree we looked weaker after CMS went off. Yes, we are clearly still adapting to the system, it doesn't look right, but anyone who thinks Ipswich were 2 goals better than us needs their head seeing to.

sounds ok , we were better for much of that game, need to beat blackpool now and score some goals without conceding to ensure my mood doesnt turn sour

Stockdale mistake, he spilled 2 or 3 on Saturday, and palmed their first straight to the Ipswich striker tonight.

He had no option with the first goal and did good to get the first save.

Leicester are paying us add on for the first 20 games he plays? We might not want to spend that money so that's ok then we will play with out a target man cause that's worked these past few games lol great thinking by the club

8m that we weren't expecting to get!!! Any club serious about the premier league would have ploughed it straight back into the playing squad!!!!!!!
