I'm in the FOMO camp I'm afraid. My mate has to sit (so do I half the match as well) so front row is best. So I'm online at 9:00 to discover only one block available, as usual the worst. I could wait but the other blocks open at random times, maybe today or maybe tomorrow afternoon at 3:25. As such I'm in early to buy front row seats and ALWAYS get the worst blocks. Now block 2 has opened I am sooo angry.

Absolutely standard sadly, rinse the most loyal and those with FOMO.

Two reasons to do it:

1. Shift the undesirable seats first to those guaranteed to book on day one
2. Generate FOMO

Exactly the same in theatre for popular shows with strong box office advance, release worse tickets in blocks to get rid of them first to “members” and “patrons” in an advance pre-sale, then put the better tickets for the same price on general sale having shifted the worse ones
In fairness to the club, I think they are probably told to do this by the home club. That's the normal answer when they've been asked.

That said, they should have every confidence that we will fill our away allocations for every match at the moment. When was the last time we didn't?

Absolute bollox, why only put on-sale one block, pretty damn obvious we'll sell our allocation.
Why are Row A seats not on sale in Block VU1 and VU2 as well? Being held back for player comps I suspect.
Much more likely it will be like Everton away when the front row was left empty apart from a few stewards and was in use as a stewards walkway to enable them to get from one side of the stand to the other while still able to eyeball any trouble.

Newcastle, Saturday 19th October. Also Villa is looking unlikely to sell out currently.

I can't make Man U so this one ideal for me. Is it just me that puts a premium on going to the slightly more winnable games rather than the Top 6 Big Time Charlie ones

How many lower tier blocks do we get?
It looked like just one to me from what I could ascertain.

Ipswich will be a new club for many of us late joiners and a reasonably easy trip so always going to sell out.

It's been said there are only 2 things in life that are certain. That is clearly and underestimation as there are at least 4.

1. Death
2. Taxes
3. People whinging about loyalty points for a fixture
4 People whinging (despite being told time and time again why it is done this way) about the order of the release of blocks!

How many left for tomorrow please?
Currently 650 in the open blocks.
Also block VU 3 is yet to open (i estimate it to be about another 550 seats). Had a look at portman road on the box tonight and they are using the front of the upper tier as a walk through so row B is actually the front row.

I think most fans that travel regularly to away games are, in your eyes, superior to those that constantly whinge because most go just for the joy of watching the Albion and having a great day out. It's a pretty poor show if you chose not to go to an away game because it's 5pts less than what you hoped.

We've got possible the best team we've ever had yet the moaning about insignificant things goes on pretty much every Tuesday that tickets are released.

I still think they could improve number 4 by doing a 'pre-sale' of the allocation and then allocate the seats once they have got the numbers sorted. The allocation process would work in the same priority as current sales process except you have already paid for your ticket. Possibly less risk on the club as well. It would improve the service provided but probably not enough financial incentive for the club.
