Friends keep posting videos on FB but everytime I click on the links it gives a message saying flash player needed.
Very frustrating, is there a work around to get iPads to use flash player or do I need to pack it away and go back to Microsoft/laptop?

Proton is fast in Flash mode but fiddly to use, I find. I also use Puffin browser and it's not too bad but it does feel clunky.

Download for free and give it a try, Programme Seller. Let us know how you get on.

I'm not sure it's a flash thing, I think it's a Facebook thing as I get it too, some videos on Facebook I can watch on my iPhone, but if I try and watch the exact same video on my ipad I get the flash player message, I thinks it's a little glitch on Facebook.
Very rarely now do I get a video that I can't watch on my iPhone.

Think you need Photon, not Proton, that's what I use, allows Flash videos to work, what works best though is the Facebook app rather than doing it through safari.

Am I imagining things or does the mobile browser searches (chrome and safari) in YouTube come up with a lot less results? And a lot of the non-live performances seem to be banned on mobile players.

Have you compared it to the YouTube app? Not sure of that might make a difference.

I use the puffin browser on my apple devices. Not too expensive to upgrade once the free trial is used up and you can have an on screen mousepad (touchpad laptop style) for anything you need a precise click on
