A Bose Soundtouch is quite good too.

I've got a Bose Soundtouch 10 and it's fantastic. Such good sound from a pretty small speaker. I even plug my TV in through the aux input.

I was at the same stage as yourself 3 months ago when I purchased a Roberts stream 93i, great sound quality and at a affordable £150.00 on line through Richer sounds.
