I'm just wondering why Tony Pulis hasn't been mentioned? I think he would do a good job - Premier League experience, knows the division (and how to get out of it), and would probably add a bit of steel to the back line. Might also sway Upson? Just a thought?
 If anything could persuade Spanish Dave to sign on the dotted line,it'd be appointing a Flairmeister like Pullis

Don't be silly. He has got experience in getting out of this league, he is English, probably can't speak Spanish and has vastly over achieved for the last 8 odd years Oh and is a dinosaur. Would not go down at all well with the NSC massive.

He's Welsh, you tard.

The interim manager will become the full time manager when Gus is sorted. Why would you mess with the continuity of pre-season by having anyone else for 2 or 3 weeks?

To overcome any possible legal problems appointing a man as a interim and then making it permanent. The first 2 weeks are about fitness so virtually anybody could do that.

How do you define over-achieved. As under him Stoke had the third highest net spend in the Premiership, wouldn't over-achievement be a top two finish?

Oh and he's Welsh
