Interesting viewpoint from one of my snouts

Speaking to one of my snouts at Millwall yesterday he gave me an interesting viewpoint in what has happened this week and what will happen. I've no reason to doubt him and as he is pretty close to the boardroom it will be interesting to see if it pans out as such.
Knight's begging Wed/Thursday got Micky another 90 minutes at Millwall.
When they met on Friday night the conversation basically went "If you don't win at Millwall, then its out of my hands from Sunday onwards."

Micky felt that given the injuries/morale etc this was impossible terms and realising that Dick Tight is no more than a modern day Sooty to Tony Bloom's Harry Corbett, hence the mutual agreement came in.

The Blooms favour Gary Stevens, he's cheap, alleged to be wanting less than half of what MA was on, and will work with Barry Lloyd in some capacity, allbeit keeping the Chief Scout title. Knight's chosen 'one' is Nicky Forster as Player manager, with a new coach coming in, I say new, possibly Tinselhead or even Paul Rogers, all in house and cheap options.

The Blooms and Derek Chapman are prepared to accept relegation, on the face of it they can say they acted too late, but more importantly as MA was Tight's project it weakens his postion in the boardroom, ultimately he brought Adams back it went wrong and he will have to carry the can for it.

Although Jim Gannon of Stockport could be a shock outsider as DK is also a fan of his, but given that MA has walked away with a six figure sum Tony Bloom would need to win a few good hands to pay for it.

Ernest - is it worth you reprising your relationship with the Albion? The interpretation and language you use seem to suggest an agenda. Have you ever been involved, or attempted to be involved with the club? Do you have an axe to grind?

Context is King for observations like yours old chap.

As someone who has known Ernest a long time, he enjoys a wind up a lot of the time, but he does have the inside track too.

6/10.

the first half, why and how he went seems pretty reasonable. but the second half - why do the Blooms want Gary Stevens? maybe im missing some background info, i've seen the name banded about here but dont really see the interest.

now Forster as a player manager to the end of the season then review, that would be interesting.

Actually sounds plausible. Put it this way, there was definitely a lot missing from Knight's, err, 'account' of the conversation.

I am sorry but if Stevens is appointed the club can kiss good bye to alot of fans a division 3 status!

For me it has to be Steve Cotterill with Forster as a player/coach

Gannon is out of contract in the summer so can't see it being too expensive.
He has done a fantastic job at Stockport and i would welcome him.As for Stevens and Forster no way.Why take gambles on people who haven't managed a club yet when Falmer is not to far away? We are in a recession and having someone like Stevens would be a awful. He wouldn't pull the crowds in.Think the club has to get this right this time so they need to be carefull.

What exactly has Steve Cotterill achieved? He had a good start at Cheltenham, brief stint at Stoke where he turned his back on them and failed at Sunderland.

Personally, I would suggest Forster as player manager and bring in a good coach. However, it's not a 'for me it has to be' situation. I'll wait and see and judge on performances.

Gary Stevens has exactly what qualifications to manage a struggling tier 3 club?? It is not interesting it is madness that bears comparison with an Albion director doing and saying nothing as the club is asset stripped..oh.
