I probably over analyse the body language of the players when he Fab gives his pep talk - always after a win.....and its awkward to say the least....

Generally more "trust the process" blah blah blah speech.

So, will be watching with intent later at this
On a great night when all our moods have been uplifted speeches are still a bit cringe cliche. Still what do I know and care if we continue to get results

Interesting about the training intensity when compared with the injury statistics in the other thread

All a bit cliche really, the fighting talk, the never say never blah blah. If it helps then great. They are young and impressionable, and cynically innocent. But can’t resist being an old codger and muttering ‘what a load of…’, which is what they’ll probably say also in 30 years time! 😂😃
It's also probably partly why you aren't a football manager.

This week JP saying "We keep going. It's not enough. Monday we train and go again, all week like last week. We don't stop. We don't stop any more".
I think this is the most interesting part of it. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but along with other bits of info that came out about us not training enough under RDZ, I think that is a telling comment.

People love to say they don't know what our style is our what FH is trying to do, but whatever it is, it is clearly very different to the last Manager's ethos. And that means it is going to take a long time. So we should... trust the process.

Or one of those wankey corporate day trainers that host idea-showers
The difference is most of those people are all utter frauds. At least Premier League managers have actually achieved something!

All relative I guess, but there’s nothing worse than listening to testosterone laced spiel from a wannabe Alexander the Great, about market share rather than a pivotal moment in history.

The thing is earning the right to play, which is another cliche I’m sure you’ll scoff at. But it’s a reality of elite sport.

If you’ve got 11 men vs 11 on a football pitch, all skilled professionals, of a generally speaking equal level (which is why we thankfully have a meritocratic league system with promotion and relegation) then in theory the team with the better technical players and who are faster and stronger should always win.

But this isn’t the case, because you can have the best players in the world, but if their mentality isn’t right then they can can lose to much worse teams.

A competitive, intense, winning mentality is absolutely crucial to success. It means not coming to training hung over, staying late to train, putting everything into every sprint and taking care of your mental health as well as your physical.

There’s a reason Ronaldo became one of the greatest of all time. He’d be the first at training, the last out, and would practice free-kicks and shooting drills alone after everyone had long gone.

Bit of a tangent though I don’t disagree.
