And there's the beauty of debate and different opinions !

Albion 2 Bristol Rovers 8. I was there - and I've still got the programme to prove it! We were struggling when Clough arrived, but there were some decent players in that team. Wthin days, Cloun had reduced them all to wobbling jellies, looking too scared to even step on the the pitch, let alone play football.

The most curious thing..
But getting Clough showed ambition that had been completely absent before.

Sadly, Clough will always be remembered for 7 days of humiliation.............
Bristol R ( H )....2-8
Walton & Hersham ( H )....0-4
Tranmere ( A ).....1-4
It still makes me wince now just thinking about it.

Did we not get very a credible 0-0 at Walton and Hersham between games one and two? 😂

Exactly. Clough himself was a total disaster as manager here, that is undeniable. But the ambition shown to even go for him: we'd never had that before and I think ewe2 is getting some undeserved stick. It was undoubtedly the moment when the club's outlook changed forever - although as we all know it wasn't all forward progress and sweetness and light from that moment to where we are now!
