In these days of covertly planned terrorist actions, I have an opinion that justice is not necessarily all-encompassing when we catch perpetrators.
If we were living in a world of natural judicial balance, then human rights could be served up in all manner of ways. Much of the World has nasty ways of dealing, some coud be perceived as 'medeival'.
Remember that lad caught doing stuff, who was going to be flailed in Singapore, (or was it Philapines or Thailand) ?
Could we sympathise when a British miscreant gets local punishment meted out?
I feel that there should be a covert end put to these terrorists and those who will encourage, finance or harbour them.
No shipping of clerics, out to their own areas, so they can work against us at a distance - but a few little accidents should take care of them. Perhaps we could electronically tag, and follow some of these schemers back to their viper nest, then drop some nastiness on the lot. No need to go to trial, no need to feed and house them for 40 years, and (to quote 'Goodfellas') "dat's dat".
A few accidental deaths whilst in custody for known terrorists. Dat's da ticket, yup.
