the away fans will be seated in the new stand ( miles away from teh pitch BTW!!!!) :D :D :D :D

However, teh old away end will be extended to put in another 300 odd seats and fans will be invited to make that a singing section.

Now either he was talking poo, or are the club expecting us to move away from teh visiting fans area?

On the terraces!!
whatever they may prefer - i for one aint going anywhere if the away fans are coming up our end.

the whole lack of atmosphere there is partly due to the fact there is NO banter with the away handfuls of fans that come to visit!:lolol:

If we have a cup game and have to give 15% of the seats to away fans, then H & J block will have to move (Reading programme)

A number of fans appear to be under the impression that the new away end will get a roof as well. Insider has confimed that this is incorrect but I could hear people moaning about it on the bus on Saturday.

I first heard this on the phone in driving home from the Reading game, somebody has obviously got it wrong somewhere.

I won't move . With the away fans next to us it should improve the atmosphere in H block big time.
Thats pretty rubbish we'll have to move for big cup games, I assume as a season ticket holder the free cup ticket would still apply if the seats are completed by then.

I'm not moving either. The away fans can have the new seats, provided they arrive, and the seats they have at present. Thet must make the 15% requirement.

The ones they have at present will be Albion seats.

We may not even get a cup game at home this season.
We usually go out at the first hurdle :p

15% of 9000 is 1350 so an extra block or two would be needed if the away club took their whole allocation.

Plus a load of empty seats covered with mesh between the away fans and home fans.

So the seats furthest away from us will be home seats, and therefore I hope will be for fans without season tickets. If this is the case those seats could revert to away seating, with the new ones to make the 15%.

I have just about had enough of campaning, being democratic, and being bloody nice to every objector. The quicker we get a proper decision, the better.

In fact I might just get my shovel and start digging Falmer myself. Sod planning aplications and the law. Maybe it's time for anachy.

So they are going to add 300 seats to the current away end and make it the home singing section?
Only gonna work if they also stick a roof on it too.

I guess the reasoning maybe that the sound will go forwards to the whole pitch rather than just one portion of it.

At the moment no matter how much the singing section sing, you don't hear any sound in the family section

I thought part of the idea of the new seats for away fans is that it would mean the away stand would be upto 15% capacity, therfore no need to move home fans for cup matches.

Whenever home fans sit next to away fans in the the east stand it always ends up with the police videoing and photographing everyone ( for no apparant reason), stewards getting worked up about people who try to banter or sing with the away fans, and fans getting thrown out at half time by steward snatch squads.

If the singing section stays where it is the stewarding and policing presence will begin to get on everyones nerves if it is anything like what happens in the east stand.

I don't think so. The Club needs to provide segregated turnstiles as well as segregated seating. I don't think that will be possible at the east end of the ground, once the new hospitality block has been built.

Presumably when H, J & K Blocks are used by away fans, there will have to be some huge great physical barrier across the running track to stop "leakage".

This will only happen at Cup games, of course. I'd be interested to hear where the Club intends relocating H & J Block season ticket holders. We are all presuming that it will be somewhere in the South Stand and not behind the east goal. Confirmation would be nice though.
