To be fair though, Sunderland are a much bigger club than us. I would have expected more but perhaps the pricing is wrong.

But why do we field a weaker side? Because the rewards for success elsewhere are greater? So it is about money IMHO.

£15 for tickets at Sunderland today, seems pretty sensible. Only £25 for League games too according to this

Fair enough, but the cup has clearly lost it's magic.

A cup run brings in a couple of mill if you win the FA Cup , a promotion run brings in £120M if you go up.
