There were no new injuries after Fulham - via RDZ in post match interview - so presumably Enciso was taken off after 45 minutes either for tactical reasons or as part of his planned recovery from injury.

Worth adding that it took a long, long time for Enciso to come off the pitch. He was a good 3-4 minutes later than the rest of the players at half-time, and also didn't come round to the bench until c70 minutes from the dressing room. I think it was more that he was disappointed by his/the performance. Two of the coaching/fitness staff went to him and didn't seem concerned.

...which is interesting as neither of them have previously been on the B list (BBB wasn't eligible previously as he didn't reach two years with Albion until Jan 31 2024, and Peupion was on loan in the autumn, of course).
Albion's squad on UEFA's website hasn't yet been updated, so I'm expecting when I check it tomorrow they will be there (either that, or RDZ has taken them along just for the experience).

I thought Barca could play due to being an u21?

Barco is ineligible for the b list as you need to have been at the club for 2 years. It’s why played like Enciso and Facundo are named in the main squad as they couldn’t play otherwise either.

(i think) The BBC did a summary of the press conference yesterday where RDZ was asked about how he responds to having injuries. They include Fati (ie: his longstanding injury that he's recovered from in that list / write up - it wasn't a report of a new injury. And it hasn't been mentioned /framed like that in the Athletic, Argus and their write ups last night's press conference. So fingers crossed. Anyway if he was injured - he wouldn't have trained in the Olympico - see above. PS there's lots of other interviews/ vids / build up via here too.

(This isn't the right place to make this comment, but thought I'd make it on this thread and not start a new one.)
Maybe it's because the questions have been condensed or combined, but the questions RDZ have been posed in the pre-match conference by Italian journalists -- or the way in which they've been translated -- is bizarre. For instance, the first posed asks 'why do you claim Italian managers don't play with courage' and then adds 'do you think De Rossi will play with a back three or a back four'?
