Maybe we can look at winning this ?
f*** off. Our next opponent will get one (carried off) in the first minute, the hang on with a wounded look till the final whistle.

Beheddie Howe may increase Toon's lead if they get any worse.
:lolol:

I laugh every time I see that.

The sort of thing that gets me into trouble at work.

I was bollocked recently for telling a class I was saddened and disappointed that several students hadn't emailed me an essay plan for formative feedback. Apparently if there was a depressed student who hadn't sent a plan because they were depressed, I may have pushed them over the edge by saying I was disappointed.

Yes but students doing no work because they are depressed aren't reading my emails, either, innit? And it isn't as if they don't know they haven't done what I asked them. Unless they don't read my emails. See where we are going here?

FFS.

Beheaddie, though. :lolol:

I’m wondering if there’s a correlation with managers who play a high energy pressing game and with pace? Ange’s mimicked Jurgen with a fast paced pressing game and marauding FB’s.

The polar opposite of Conte and Mourinho’s dull crap at Spurs, whilst Brighton and Newcastle play a pressing game too.

The outlier is ManC, but Abu Dhabi have funded back up in every position so fewer players don’t get injuries through workload.
Given Pep's background it wouldn't surprise me if Man City have had access to a few "specialist" doctors.

Cripes, there's a blast from the past - I was 7 or 8 when he last presented Points of View.

PoV means something entirely different to younger generations.

This. The modern game is so fast it is hardly surprising that the players are getting injured. The way we play given the relatively small squad we have reminds me of the difference between a V8 doing 120mph and a 4-cylinder doing the same. The former can continue on purring away for hours the latter will break down. TBH given the circumstances I am relieved we are out of the Cup.

Aren't students always depressed.
I first noticed that when I watched the Young Ones, then saw it in real life when I used to drive rich UAE students,
(spoilt brats) from the old Northeye Prison in Bexhill to Hastings, Shoreham, Worthing and Tonbridge for engineering studies.
All wearing the 'latest' watch and designer gear.
Right miserable lot they were.

Most of my lot are fine. A minority seem to have been given repeated byes with Inclusion Plans, Automatic Extensions and the like. That's fine, till in a noisy minority within the minority find their ADHD is making them too anxious to meet the extended deadline. One legged Tarzan syndrome (see Peter Cook and Dudley Moore). The only repeat extension students who subsequently do well with some support, and deserve the slack cut, are the autistic ones. But I would say that, wouldn't I ???

Pep heavily rotates his squad to manage the workload, which is why they suffer fewer injuries compared to other teams. I think last season the only players who started over 30 games for City were Rodri and Halland

With possibly the best 25 on the planet to select from.

Not so much this season, but when they knock up cricket scores, he can take ‘the names’ off on 65 minutes.

I've come to accept that some people will never take help offered, whatever the level.

I love Maheta! he talks a lot of sense... as well as only scoring goals in the first 30 seconds of games....
