Anyone listen to Calderon’s interview after yesterdays match. Interviewer asked him several times about the stress & pressure on the players & he gave the same answer each time “pressure is not playing football; pressure is being in Afghanistan or Iraq.”
Our visitor for the Derby match must have made a real impression on him. Shame some of the prima donnas in the Premier League don’t think the same when they are demanding 100, 200, £250,000 per week then complain they are exhausted having to play two matches a week.

What infuriates me the most is these over paid fucks is they don't know the meaning of the word "WORK". I'd like to see them do a 40 hour week on a building site for £20,000 a year.

What with Brett Mendoza at Brighton the Musical last night it's been a weekend of a celebrity spotting in the CM household.

Just found a photo of a ten year-old Brett Mendoza in an old Albion programme. He enjoys playing football for Hove Park Colts. He also plays squash, swims and takes part in athletics. He names Dean Wilkins as his favourite player.

Looks like his celebrity status began at a very early age!

I met him briefly last year after the last game at the Withdean. Absolutely brilliant guy. Nothing against Reyes but I always prefer seeing Calde in the line-up.

Blimey, I am assuming that most of you didn't see what half of NSC were posting about Calderon when he didn't sign a contract and the talk of was of him going to Soton. A lot of you seem to be generalising about the prem players. The likes of Bellamy, Drogba certainly do more than their fair share for the less well off and I suspect there are many more. As to the players who claim to be exhausted, perhaps you should name and shame as I'm not aware of them. As for the money, they ask and they get. Whose fault is that? If you asked for a pay rise and your boss gave it, would you turn it down. If you want to blame anyone, blame all the 'fans' who subscribe to Sky Sports and therefore fund these salaries!!!
