[News] Influencers

Does anyone here actually follow these degenerates?

Flocking to Dubai, claiming it as work, then posting picture of themselves drinking Grey Goose and smoking pipes.

Whilst the rest of us stay put until it’s safe to do so and in line with the law. Funnily enough, Covid has spiked in Dubai.

How they call themselves influencers is beyond me. All self serving Pratt’s.

Are they within their rights? It is this another show of selfishness?

Maybe it’s just the nerves for tonight but felt the need to rant and see what everyone’s opinions were.

Like it or not, some of these people make huge amounts promoting stuff to their "fans" the old days of advertising where you'd hope people were watching the TV between programmes have long gone! One click and millions can see a product now

It's a good point and I couldn't agree more. In fact I was thinking exactly the same as I watched the sun slip below the horizon with my girlfriend earlier on today.

Nah, it's just b*llox.

More 'look at me, me, me; I'm so special' narcissism from morons who live their whole lives via TikTok or their own YouTube channel.

How empty must people's lives (and heads) be in order to need these people to 'influence' them, because they're too dumb or lazy to think for themselves?

Yeah, that stupid woman in Dubai (?) interviewed on TV yesterday morning, with her skimpy bikini; "Ooh, I'm gonna show off my tits on TV - maybe an agent will invite me to become a Glamour Model or porn star."

She looked and sounded as thick-as-s*** - that squeaky husky 'likkle girl' voice that many young women think is sexy, and the equally annoying 'vocal fry'. A total airhead.

Sadly, this is the sort of talentless trash that a lot of kids look-up to as role models these days; measuring their worth by how many 'likes' or 'followers' they can attract for doing absolutely nothing of any social value or importance.

Yet more dumbing down, and worship of dross in our ethically-bankrupt society.

I have to say the demise of Clemmie Hooper and husband was somewhat satisfying. Worth a Google for those unfamiliar with that one.

Under 21's have grown up on YouTube.

Anyone over that age must find the whole thing extremely bizarre. I know I do. Will never see the appeal of watching a celebrity with no specific achievements rant about themselves an inane fashion.

In regards to being covid safe, it's not just influencers. Actors, sportspeople, politicians and practically people from every other industry are breaking rules. No point getting wound up about it anymore, people will do what they want. Surely the end is in sight now anyway.

I think the end is a long way away all the time these idiots exist but the vaccine is going to help.
My problem is that when it is finished and we can all go out those that did not bother will have a self satisfied smug face on them because they did what they wanted but those of us that sacrificed so much were the ones that did it for them.
I just wish these people could somehow be made to pay a high price for their actions rather than getting away with it.
I would have loved that stupid bitch yesterday to have got pelters but as usual sugar tits clothes horse Holly Willoughby and The Silver Fox were pathetic.
It makes my piss boil.

As a full time Dubai resident, I can confirm these ****ers are NOT welcome here, and that the expat population is mightily pissed off with them for a) undoubtedly contributing to cases rising here and b) endangering the air links between the UAE and other countries that many of us rely on for reasons other than a self-indulgent “influencer” holiday.

On average I think people on NSC are about 40 years too old to watch these "influencers"

I watched a programme on TV set in Monte Carlo where these guys turned up in beautiful cars which they felt the need to have resprayed/wrapped in garish and tasteless colours with shitty artwork.I was more offended about that than their look at me lifestyle

Tasteless twats and yes I am way too old and old fashioned to be commenting and having any credibilty

Yes, but what do they do ?
Is a publican (remember them) an influencer as he puts me under the influence ?
