tallish check
thin check
lived in Leeds in the early 90s check
highly strung out girlfriend quite often
dangerous and intense .... only on an excess of Grolsch

however, band names around that time were "Men of Sussex" and "*******s from Atlantis"

:)

When's the Nivens retrospective appearing?

The Northumberland Nivens have a compilation on Firestation. Don't think there's one for the Norfolk Nivens yet. A rare gap in the market.

I'm waiting for a Those Naughty Corinthians compilation. Now there was a band...

Hmmm - that split 7" with Headbirth and Dog Food ain't all that. They couldn't hold a candle to Laurence and the Comfortable Society - the ULTIMATE C86 sensations.

Hi all, just a bit of publicity.....

Oh Peas! Have been added to The Fireworks, andThe Luxembourg Signal at the Hope and Ruin on Saturday 18th July.

It's free and that makes it a triple Indietracks bill warm up....

What do people think of the compilation? I think it's pretty good this year - Fever Dream, Chorusgirl, The Luxembourg Signal for me, also always been partial to a bit of Evans The Death....

New material from Rose Melberg and chums:

"One Step Too Far" and "Terrible" are two more Melberg masterpieces, offering up some driving, melodic fuzz pop complete with plenty of vocal harmonies and driving instrumentation. Knife Pleats will surely become a new favourite for indie pop fans the world over.
