46 days in and the Bexhill team are still winning :yahoo:

For anybody who is interested its a rowing race from Western Australia to Mauritius and the four lads from Bexhill are 140 miles in the lead with a small matter of 1043 miles to go.

They are nearly there, 36 NM to go, but will finish second, still the winners had eight rowers to their four

How is that fair? ???

8 Rowers = cheating :tosser::tosser:

Calm down, there were different categories - singles, pairs, fours and eights, they will finish over 300 N Miles ahead of the second place fours, they did bloody well to stay ahead of the winners for as long as they did

One of the keys as to why they've done so well is taking a completely different course to everybody else - they went quite a way north at the start whereas everyone else just went west. This, in the longer term gave them much better currents and meant they avoided the roughest seas - as evidenced by the fact they were in front of an 8 for most of the way.

I wish they would slow down - I had them finishing on Saturday morning in the sweepstake.
