Late night thought. Why not drop Archer, bring in Burns and drop Stokes into an all rounder slot, opening with Anderson.

If fast bowlers are playing little part it will give him some breating space from Ashwin.

This is what I’d do. Fast bowlers largely pointless. Stokes + one other.

1. Burns
2. Sibley
3. Crawley
4. Root
5. Stokes
6. Pope
7. Bairstow
8. Foakes
9. Bess
10. Leach
11. Any one of Archer / Anderson / Broad

Might even get to 200 with that batting 😂

Yeah. I've re-thought that. If India got a head of steam there is no way he could bowl as much as might be needed at a consistent level.

Another very marginal umpires call goes in favour of India.

When I saw where that flicked the pad and went over I couldn’t believe ball tracking said that was hitting the stumps.

That’s where you have to wonder about the accuracy of DRS. That ball will not really have deviated, not noticeably, so if the ball in reality has comfortably cleared the stumps hows DRS got it clipping!? It’s another poor decision.

Will be lucky to make 200, another very short Test loss looms...
The match might limp on just in to Day 4, can only see one result though.

I’d bet good money Swann wants to roundhouse a few of these commentators he has to work with, poor guy.

How's your luck. Inside edge, through your legs, off the back of your pad and spoons up in the air for a simple catch :nono:

Pope gone. 167/6

I tend to feel for the Indian commentators who have to put up with Swann!

It must be said our batting is pathetic.

Sun rises in the east, titanic sinks, Brighton can’t score etc
