No worrries my Lord - Vardean is a Brightonism meaning VarNdean a bit like saying Brightun as Brightonians do and Auld Stiene, St Jameses Street , Clock Tawa, Snakey Hill, etc etc.

Really? I thought Vardean was short for Very 'ard Dean, because there was a vicar of the local parish who would head-butt people and smack them in the mouth if they didn't go to church.
