All I'll add is that I was in HB with my 6 year old a week or so ago (for the first time) and they seemed a very nice friendly bunch in there
My son is a little older (17) but will only go to Gentlemen's despite the huge number of options.

Haircut wise I’m pretty sure it comes down to the individual barbers operating from a shop at any one time.

Which is best? HB or Gentleman's? ....there's only one way to find out.......

2 in our village. Plus another 10 hairdressers and barbers! It’s quite ridiculous. Both Turkish places opened after everything else already established. You’d think we’ve a colony of wookies nearby given the numbers. Neighbouring village now has 3, and two others both have two now. These in addition to already established hairdressers and barbers. They’ll be in lay-bys soon. Fancy a burger and a quick trim? Coming right up…
Where the hell do you live. Just down the road from Istanbul?

I’ve honestly never seen a Turkish barbers in any village around where I live.

Not a village, but Shoreham has 6/7 barbers of which 2/3 are Turkish barbers.

I've been going to the same barber (a lovely Moroccan chap) since he opened around 10 years ago. In all that time I've only been elsewhere about 3 times when he's been on holiday and I've needed a haircut. One of those visits was to one of the Turkish barbers. Never again ... talk about trying to upsell when all I wanted was a simple 2 grade clipper cut.

Shoreham Barbers for me. Good British barbers. Lovely people and good chat. Always enjoy my time there.

I actually went in there yesterday - one of the three times I've been 'disloyal' to my usual barber over the last 10 years. I'd been lax in booking my appointment and he was fully booked up until end of next week - due to taking a couple of extra days off to celebrate Eid. My lad uses Shoreham Barbers all the time as he knows the owner.

Last time I put my head round that door was 1987. It was only because I was a bit skint and his sign in the window offered a haircut for “100p”
On entering, he screamed at me “I don’t do flattops!” Totally puzzled as I neither had one, wanted one nor wore the type of clothes that might even imply I wanted one 🤣🤣🤣
:lolol:
There was another old school barber in a street above Western Road that was full on because he started doing flattops around that time.

Yeah, it’s the only place I’ll go. They are great.

Can’t be doing with these dreadful rude-boyz and their “authentic” Turkish barbers.

Freddie’s!

I went there for years.
Ah, the flat top craze. Freddie’s did my one and only attempt at it. It didn’t suit me.

It was useful though as one of my first mates I met in the Goldstone was 6ft 2 with a flat top and therefore very easy to find in the North Stand

Ha. I used to go to an old bloke in the centre of Liverpool, who ONLY did flat-tops! (or a full on skinhead)

Brighton factually.....
aaaahhh flat top.......

I used to go every Saturday morning at 7am to a Turkish Cypriot barbers in Southgate opposite the old royalty nightclub, happy memories...
That all stopped about 14 years ago, when my wife decided I suited a skinhead as my quiff was getting wispy....

aaaahhh.....
