Ince must start in place of Forster-Caskey

Agree, Ince is solid.

Agree with the points made but the knocking of Oscar is frankly bullshit. How do you know that Ince isn't still carrying a knock and that's why he didn't play? Or lack of match practice?

It really angers me that people feel the need to slag off our manager in the middle of the play off semi final. It sounds like there have been issues with Ince's fitness recently (as there often are when young players play their first full season of first team football). But you use it to slag off a manager who has taken us to 6th in his first full season despite having lots of key players out long term with injury. Pathetic

Pathetic? So I pay to watch Brighton to be some sort of cheerleader no matter what? I could not believe how inept we were against Forest for the first hour and that we didn't put CMS on until the 87th minute!! Then going to the Derby game I feared Oscar would just play the same team without even thinking about the strengths of the opposition. Derby play quick, in between the lines and on the break and I thought JFC would get exposed for his lack of pace and strength. I would hope that Oscar who is our manager and knows more about football than most, might be thinking the same but no. When the game kicked off I was right behind the team but looking back I had wished he had thought about protecting the back 4 a bit more with Ince (who is fit as he has been sub for the last2 months!). I like Oscar but don't think he is a particularly dynamic or reactionary coach and we have sneaked into the play off on the back of this. Anyway whatever team we pick I will be praying we win.

I wouldn't play Ince today personally. It's a day for cool, experienced heads rather than youngsters who may panic. Therefore I wouldn't play Jake either. But, seeing as we'll probably have to play one of them, JFC has more experience and is better going forward. And we have to win, so...
Failing that, I'd play Solly in the free role behind the front three. Seems a little more composed than the other two.

I'd play Ince, Andrews (more advanced), and Orlandi (praying the latter finds some form).

He has to play against a team who attack with pace and power. JFC made their attackers look like Real Madrid at times as he chased shadows. I think the decision to just stick with the same team (the same team who looked pretty inept against a poor Forest team until subs were made) showed how poor Oscar is tactically really. I can,t help thinking we made the playoffs on the back of a strong spine of players and am worried if we have the right man for next year whatever league we're in.

You make one good point, and one horrendously bad one. I'd love to see Ince start again, but Oscar has had an impressive first season and is the right man for the future of the club.

Ince and Andrews together simply doesn't work.

So who are you replacing Andrews with if Ince plays ???

I think it's far more that a midfield of Ince, Andrews and JFC don't work, as it's far too negative in general and even more the case when we have to win as is the case today. I think Ince's pace, power and drive will benefit us today, and can see him working in combination with Andrews and Orlandi then/or March.

Fully agree that Ince should start ahead of JFC, too lightweight tried to emulate his goal of the season only to give the ball away which led to their penalty, also should have made a foul on the player as he ran through the half way line, inexperience showed greatly! I totally disagree about Oscar bring replaced, this guy has got us in the play offs with the loss of several key players through injury, and losing 2 of his best players in January to other clubs. So if he gets us up or not I for one will be more than happy to see him n the dugout next season! Seagulls!!!

All this.

I dont want either JFC or Ince to start. I would drop Andrews back a little and play Lopez, as Agustein is out of favour, to help Orlandi provide the balls into their box.

Disagree. And can't see Oscar throwing caution to the wind with your suggested selection either. They would murder us in midfield if both SD and Orlandi played.

Let Ince play further forward? It didn't work when they both played defensive midfield. Or perhaps let Andrews play further forward, he got a goal every other game playing for Ipswich in a more advance position.

We shouldn't have to drop anyone back to compensate for Lopez. I would only use Lopez in extra time when Derby are running on tired legs, and if it comes down to penalties.

If Ince is fit I hope he plays. Not sure if he has had fitness issues -seems likely.

Would definitely like to see CMS start and probably March and Kaz as well. Let's repeat the opening 20
Minutes and score 3!

I'm glad I didn't get embroiled in this earlier, but I still think it's a mistake.

Andrews and Ince are too defensive.
JFC needed replacing but I'd have used (with fingers crossed) SD or March, just to have a chance to get the ball through to Leo.

He's having an excellent game so far.
He is but the attacking unit isn't, because Ince isn't a replacement for the position played by JFC.
