The Boat That Rocked

The quidditch world cup in Goblet of fire was filmed near beachy head (is that part of the conurbation?)

Worthing was used in Wish You Were Here.

I plan to make a low-budget film and set it in Lancing. I'll put the place on the map.

Re: The half time score. Were we winning? If we were perhaps it was 'artistic licence'

3 minutes in, a couple are in the car on a hill in the countryside. The girlfriend complains when the guys changes the radio station to hear the football scores.
The second division score from 1983/84 of 'Portsmouth 0 Brighton 1' from march is read out. Luckily we never get to hear the final result later in the day.

Nuclear war starts a few months later in may 1984.

I think we ended up losing 5-1 if my memory serves me well

I could've sworn that it was also known as "1,2,3" at one point...

Incidentally, how may people remember the outside escalators at the Odeon at the bottom of west street? I told my friends about it, and they all think I'm mad.

In Threads, the 1980s film about a nuclear bomb dropping on Sheffield, a Brighton half-time score is read.

Also, I remember watching a film called The Brighton Strangler. Don't recall much about it, though

No they do not mention our score I am sure ............................they are sitting on the edge of a cliff and a fighter jet goes over!!!

It is set in 1983
