Absolutely this. Anyone who is ITK would never, and could never, post on here - the days of hacks and scoops is over. Club will release what information it wants to, when it wants to. All closely guarded, for the right reasons, and traceable most importantly. Trilby, mack and phone box belong to a past generation.

In all seriousness the only major thing I’ve ever been told was POLE IN GOAL. Got told he’d been shown around the Amex before he was mentioned anywhere. But I’ve also been told 50 other things that turned out to be bullshit or didn’t happen. But I’d happily post on here like I did then if I heard something and it couldn’t be traced... Prob had a few others over the years but can’t remember - the bouncer in the Sportsman told me Kanchelskis was signing and at the game we were at - I shit you not!

We have a massive set up with regards to recruitment and our scatter approach to transfers means we have plenty of irons in the fire. very few individuals are involved at the final stages where we sign contracts and I'd never want to share anything until all is signed and finalised. I remember the Pritchard saga

Which would be my approach too. It is a betrayal of confidence (see above). If I heard from a trustworthy source of things happening I'd keep it to myself. That way I get to hear more. Any publication is a bit 'look at me'.

I suppose it depends on whether the source of the ITKishness wants it to be made properly public or not. If they are telling someone as a friend who they know will keep it to themselves then I guess it should stay that way.

Being a reliable confidante is always the best way to be first to the juice.
