You've hit the nail on the head. I was wondering what the reaction would have been towards Stockdale if he had ever had such a poor game as their keeper yesterday. Ruddy must be sick that this keeper is preferred to him.

I agree with the OP and most of the other posts.
Bong, Sidwell, Skalak and Stephens were all terrific yesterday
I also thought Tomar Hemed when he came on was faster and nimbler than he was 4 weeks ago. The international goals seemed to have given him extra confidence and he seemed a lot more mobile yesterday.
Maybe it was Norwich that were a yard slower at the end when 5 down.

Good point that re Tomer - we were saying the same. He looked very sharp and seemed to be a bit thinner too.

I thought Hoolahan was alright in places, at least he was trying to make things happen for them.

I thought Hoolahan started well but as the game progressed it was almost as though a plague of sloppiness and ineptitude spread through the team with the keeper being the virus carrier.

The quality and depth we now have in midfield is the major difference from last season.

This is spot on. Last season, if either Kayal or Stephens went missing then we struggled (Preston/Sheff Wed springs to mind).

Not quite on topic but a word of praise for the ref yesterday. Thought he was excellent. Kept the game flowing and dealt with two incidents correctly.Ie our first goal and the banging of heads.
