It's very easy to slag players like Jake off because he was built up to be something he isn't.

Everyone still holds onto the fact he was meant to be the next Michael Owen. He isn't. But he still has something to offer this team. He is putting in good performances for the reserves, but gets nowhere near the first team.

When he has been used as a sub in recent seasons he has looked bright, only to be COMPLETELY dropped from the squad for the next game. Micky seems to rate him less than most managers that have been at the club. However, Micky's chosen crop are hardly setting the world alight are they? Just a thought...

We had Bradford away the following weekend, Northwich was the weekend after as i was in Florida for that good spell of league games so ended up missing them all..

Sadly, Jake is what he is nowadays. He's not going to get any better and he's a bit-part player in a poor Third Division team. Time was we dreamt he was the new Michael Owen. We were wrong.

How would we know that, when he's not getting played? When he has come on, he looks useful and threatens to score goals - but we aren't even able to take up an attacking stance at HOME at the moment!
