Agree with you on your points re budget etc but we’ve left plenty of points on the pitch this season that have nothing to do with personnel but more to do with systems and tactics.

How can it be clear when it could be something

When it’s basically an ultimatum? If you don’t do X then Y will happen.

Not that I’m suggesting that this is happening here with RDZ and the club, but something can be clear even when it’s a choice to be made rather than one fixed outcome.

The result bugged me, if Fati had put his chance away just before Spurs scored, as he should have done, we’d have been praising RDZ and the tactics. Shit happens when you play De Zerbi ball and hindsight rules when the result swings the way of the opposition.

A win would have been another massive result, as it happens the result was what 90% of football fans thought it would be pre kick off.

Bottom half budget, we sold our two brilliant CM’ers, we lost a huge number of PL goals (Mac, Enciso, Solly, Mitoma). I know not playing Verbruggen is one of your many criticisms, I agree now that he should be no.1, but Steele got us into Europe and his distribution in a passing based team was key to our many successes.

Then that question again …. why did no one say on NSC say that Potter was better between the Chelsea 4-1 and Sept 23?

This argument that RDZ lost all these players has some truth, but also fails to remember that we did replace MacAllister with Pedro (who has scored a lot more than those you mentioned) and we added Adingra and Fati (his choice of player). I also feel strongly that Baleba should have played more even if he wasn't 100% ready. Other players were given the opportunity to play 20 minutes here and 30 minutes there. Without the minutes he isn't going to improve. And the choice to play Steele over Bart against Wolves in the cup and Roma away will be our biggest regret of the season IMO.

I want RDZ to stay and think he's great for Brighton. But he's not an elite manager yet and really shouldn't be believing the hype.

You can’t rely on players taking their chance as a la Welbeck against Brentford. You can plan for a break away from the opposition though.

We lost to Wolves because we didn’t score a goal not because Steel conceded a goal. Had Bart saved that, it would still be 0-0.
