Ouch. Fight would be stopped after 35 minutes, with 96% possession for Poyet's side, 3-0.

The 2011-12 would hammer this team, as would the 2010-11

The 1981 team would slaughter this useless bunch with 9 men.... (and some of those blokes must be 60 by now...)

Some crowd members would be totally bemused at the prospect of seeing two players - Spanish Dave and Gary Gardner - not knowing what either of them do:smile:

How about a match between this seasons squad but managed by Gus (or Oscar) and his style v the 2012-13 squad managed by hyypia and his unique style.

Pick the teams, assume they're fit, on form, decide a formation, not suspended and let's see.
The 2012/13 (especially with Upson/Ulloa) teams were impressive but in the end it wasn't quite good enough to get promoted was it...
We did lose games under Poyet. We did play badly sometimes with Vicente, Orlandi, Bridcutt, Upson and Lopez in the team.

Ulloa didn't score a goal a game, nothing like. Regulars; Barnes and Hammond, at least on here, were constantly criticised .

Kus made a fair few howlers in goal

We also had players like Painter, Dicker, Barker, El Abd, Adgenstein, in our first team squad

And obviously JFC, Greer, KLL, CMS, Dunk, Calde, Bruno, Crofts, would be in both teams...

It wasn't all feast in 12/13 . Its not all all famine in 14/15 (in terms of depth of squad strength at least. Or even performances, not results)
