I long for him to have a run in the side. I'm certain with some game time he will take his chance

He was much better than I dreaded: shame DP didn't get on that cross. Knowing our luck he'll start to come good, only to be murdered by Andone in the shower.

Thought he did well, looked to drop into the space left by Burn when he was dragged out wide. Kept it tight first half opened up and pressed second, his default is to defend which I think helped Burn out.

Would be quite surprised if he was still here when the window shuts, to be honest. Potter has gone on record as saying that he wants to reduce the squad of around 28 - with Tau and Moder already in-coming, that leaves quite a few departures still to happen, and given how little Bernardo was involved earlier this season he's surely one of the prime candidates (if anyone wants him, of course).

I would agree with you that he must be one of the candidates having hardly had a look-in under Potter. I do worry about it a little though, leaves us with basically no recognised specialist Left back. March isn't a LB and Burn certainly isn't. Fine if we're determined to play a back 3 forever more but doesn't really seem a prudent approach since we often seem to look better with a back 4.

Saw it completely differently.

Thought he was a liability in defence in the first half.

Agree he hit a couple of decent crosses when he was pushed forward in the second half.
But when playing his first position, thought he was very poor indeed

Shaky start but grew into. I've never quite got the criticism. A run in the side would see so much more from him. Bit parts are not doing Bernado or us any good

Big problem IMHO. Squad is too big and Potter is still a little unsure of best players and their best positions (it's not his fault).
A few players proved they have quality tonight but they're not getting a decent chance.

Time for Ashworth etc to start culling.

If Caicedo is coming and with Moder and Tau here we could afford to get rid of 5. At least.

Thought he was dire until the fantastic interception to stop Mahrez scoring - from then on, he was excellent. I'm sure confidence is a big part of it for him. Thought he was great under Hughton whenever I saw him play but something has clearly gone wrong since Potter came in. I still feel there is huge potential there and would love to see more of him in an Albion shirt (having thought he'd definitely be off this January).

Got up and down the pitch better than anyone else of ours all evening, prone to switching off though which is his biggest failing and certainly hasn’t ever learnt or moved on from previous errors hence his falling out of favour with last 2 managers.

No, I don't see this. I don't think he has the ability to do the fairly attacking job he is being asked to do.

As a pure left back or left sided centre back, possibly.

I'd be looking to move him on

If that performance warrants praise we really don’t expect much anymore. Terrible in the first half and improved in the second to reasonable but no more than that. We need way better for even mid table let alone these top 10 fantasy’s
