Well I’m not impressed with my Italo train from Milan to Rome. We had an early departure so had to leave before breakfast was served at our hotel in Milan. I didn’t think that would be a problem as I’d get breakfast on the train.

But no! There’s no buffet car. There’s a vending machine that sells water, crisps and chocolate. There’s a separate vending machine for coffee, but that’s cash only (coins) and I don’t have any!

Without coffee and breakfast, I’m gonna be extremely grumpy by the time we get to Rome!

First world problems I know, especially after seeing @jackalbion ’s thread. Please stay safe everyone.

First chorus of "Seagulls" on the Easyjet flight from Gatwick. Quite a few Scots looking a bit baffled.
The final 4 words seem a little redundant.

Nah complain about it, late trains are annoying 👍. I have my health.

We left Milan on the 6:35 Frecciarossa service and there IS a full on buffet car.

Just double checking. Is everyone else certain that the Leonardo is operating tomorrow morning? I need to leave at 6am and don't want to be scrambling for alternatives

I find this whole fly months before your passport expires extremely odd. Surely if you can't use the bloody thing to travel abroad because you have to do it three months before it has expired. By definition the thing has already expired.
It’s because 3 months is the maximum you can stay.

The service is ‘guaranteed’……possibly with replacement buses. I’m in the same position, might just grab a cab in the morning near the hotel anyway as it’s 30 mins to Termini

“On days when strikes are held, Trenitalia, Italy's national railway, guarantees minimum transport services. These services are a direct result of an agreement between Trenitalia and the trade unions.

Note for Leonardo Express passengers: You will be guaranteed your connection between Rome Termini and Fiumicino Airport with the "Leonardo Express" service or with replacement buses”

Hmm. What's your preference? Would be happy to share a cab if interested. I'm also around Termini. Flights at 9am and I'm a safety first bod so always like to get everywhere irritatingly early!

Thanks - I’m not that early (10:40 flight) so 6am a bit early for me - I’ll check and decide over breakfast but will leave extra time just in case.
