Genuinely considered that myself. I'm on my own and was going to walk all round the city anyway and wondered whether it's possible to just keep going and rock up to the stadium safely.

On the other hand i might just pay sean to look after me.

I say this with no knowledge whatsoever, but so long as your intention is to walk there early, aiming to arrive by say 4.30 / 5pm, I'd be astonished if that were at all problematic.

I did it in Athens whilst getting messages from others on the buses telling me I was going to be ‘refused entry’ because the ‘FA Adviser on our bus has said anyone not on the bus won’t get in’………wandered up to the ground, friendly police and stewards at the away end didn’t bat an eyelid - was barely searched (less so than a typical home game). Post-match was crap though - a potential 15 min walk back to the hotel ended up with the 2.5 hour mystery bus tour and last tube back

So pleased tickets will be emailed as was getting stressed about my schedule on Thursday and worried I'll be delayed. Means I can head straight to the stadium if necessary without having to go via a collection point.

I'm not sure there'd be an issue from a getting-in perspective in making it the final point on your Rome walking tour, you just need to be a little bit careful as to when you approach the stadium and particularly from which direction. Per the Albion's comms:

Please note that Ponte Duca d’Aosta bridge and the immediate area around it should be avoided for safety reasons, along with the south side of the stadium.​

I was reading about this bridge last night, purely by chance. It seems to be a renowned ambush point yet, despite that, it has no police presence. Also it seems taxis may drop fans off just by this bridge, as it is just a short walk over to the stadium, but it's the last place an opposing fan wants to be approaching the stadium on foot.

You could, but note you can't take a bag into the ground (well not one 'bigger than A4' anyway).

Yep. Much better not having to pick up. I presume they don't want to have any publicised congregation points for Brighton fans

What if you do not have access to a printer? This is daft. Will showing on the phone be sufficient?

It would be useful if the club could say how many busses there will be making the round trip between the pick up/drop off point and the stadium pre and post match. If say only 12 busses that can hold 50 people (like Marseille) then it may take longer to get to/away from the stadium than some people might think if using the shuttle busses.

Match should end around 20:45 Rome time. How busy will public transport be post match after Brighton fans are let out of the stadium an hour later? Will public transport shut down early in readiness for the transport strike on the following day?

Last time I went to Italy my visa specifically prohibited asking anybody to print anything for me.

I’ve had a new passport issued since Athens so was my one concern in case the club just used that .

I understand that your Passport ID will just have to match the name on the ticket.

Can't believe how anxious people are getting about this. The obvious and most convenient solution is simply to take your printer and a sheet of A4 with you in your carry-on luggage and buy a travel adaptor at the airport. FFS.
