Got the dvd for £4 in HMV today - what a bargain. I feel ashamed for not having bought if before. I'm an ex-leper.

I thought you'd like to know.

Oh yes. I've seen it many times but never had it to call my own.

Right, write it out 100 times by sunrise, or I'll cut yer balls off.

You lucky, lucky bastard! Wonderful race, the Romans.

He's m....m....m....deaf and mad sir. (stutterer turns to mad jailer) So anyway, you were saying...

It's just chock full of masterpiece vignettes of brilliant comedy.

Pulp Fiction
Withnail & I
This Is Spinal Tap
Monty Python & The Holy Grail

But I know what you mean

To my recollection, they're not quite in the same league. Only seen Pulp Fiction once (and can't say I rate it, but I know others do) but I can only remember one or maybe two lines from it. Have watched Withnail many times, so there are a few there. One or two from Spinal tap, granted - then we're back to Python.

I would reckon, most Brits (certainly over the age of 35) would recognise at least 20 lines from Brian - now, shall I "Thwrow him to the thwoor ?"
