Never really understood the view that he's been a failure for us, much like the constant slating of Barnes (oh yeah, I went there).

Team CMS...even if he does go.

Think he will be good this year, question is will he stay fit.

Was 2.5M over multiple years and we not in Prem yet so why people keep posting 3.25+ is beyond me. Was expensive but going rate and could prove value if fires us towards play-off contention again

Reading Neil Warnock’ s biography (I know, I know) he states we paid Peterborough for CMS, £1.5m up front, £500k on games and £500k if we got promoted.
Could it be that CMS doesn’t get the playing time, as we don’t want to reach the number of games that triggers the £500K, especially as he’s out of contract in eight months

I have a hunch he will start on the bench on Saturday. Not trying to right him off early, just not sure he is quite ready, to be a regular starter.

I think Sami is happy with CMS leading up top, so more of this please Craig!

Sorry for the :bounce: I doubt it's the first, but hopefully this isn't yet another false dawn.

Today I thought he looked like the player we actually signed.

A total nightmare for their lumbering defense.
He created space.
Linked up well.
Never stopped running, even when he was clearly done in.

Who'd have guessed it, CMS plays better with an attacking unit, not as a target man.

Oh yeah that's right, EVERYBODY except our previous 2 managers.

Hmmm, I thought it was the usual run around a lot. Granted got the goal but should have had more (had the chance to take on their slow centre back and didn't do anything) and tried a shot when it would have been better to pass.
We need a better player up top

Is that the goal he created with his pinpoint cross to Bruno?

When CMS was on fire for Peterborough with Boyd in a very attacking team you could clearly see he was plenty good enough for this league, as said everybody except Poyet and Oscar, very pleased for him today and i think he will get even better as Sami plays to his strengths.
He always gives 100% and if a buyer comes in he would not do a Bridcutt or Buckley on us, so he is ok by me.

You saw the best and worst of him today. Forced a great save from Bogdan and fine run timing for his goal. But still too loose in possession and has he lost a yard of pace since injury? But if you play him all season he will get 15 goals minimum and for me he must start ahead of COG. Any serious promotion push will need a better striker.
