First, I don't have any inside knowledge, and secondly, I don't know as much about the inquiry as Perseus & Lord B.
However, I have taken an active interest (as most others on here have), and can't see why JP will turn it down.
Reasons to be positive.
1. There was a referendum in support of it.
2. The council voted 11-1 for it.
3. From what I read about the public enquiry, the case against the stadium was very much covered and rebuffed by 'our boys (and girls)'.
4. 3 Labour MP's seats are at danger next time round, and the Tories and going to be more of a force at the next election, so all seats will be vital.
5. Prescott has said that they want to reduce hold-ups because of NIMBY's.
6. With all the shit that Labour have had recently, anything positive will help.
7. He's a football fan, and he can see what a difference it's made to Hull. (Has PT got any contact with him
?).
I know the planning inspectors comments weren't helpful, but overall, I think we're in a good position. As I said, nothing but my own opinion.
