I have this debate often.. I tend to go along with the view that the difference is a lie is malicious and an untruth (or fib) is not malicious... therefore if information is spoken of that is malicious and someone will get hurt or feel betrayed because of it, then it is a lie. Liars are scum!

Thats fair enough, but a lot of rail workers invested their money in railtrack and got screwed over by that LYING little shit. He is no better than the executives of Enron and should be shot.

He's a better man than the bastards who ran Railtrack so badly that trains crashed and killed innocent people. For that alone, I'll forgive him for having a slightly snide manner, or telling a fib or two to that end.
